Garmir

ENVIROMENTAL PERFOMANCE

In a time of great advances, environmental sustainability is impossible to ignore in the performance of the company’s activity, both from the point of view of responsibility towards the preservation of the environment and resources, as well as the generation of new wxpectations and ideas.

On this basis, GARMIR has strengthened its commitment to the environment with the implementation of the ISO 14001:2015 standard, which analyses the environmental impact of its activity. Based on the Life Cycle of the services provided, this analysis has identified Significant Environmental Aspects and established internal goals to address those aspects, such as increasing energy efficiency and reducing consumption of natural resources and pollutant emissions into the atmosphere, etc.

GARMIR wants to involve all its clients and suppliers with this process to ensure the transparency of all the work that is carried out internally.

After considering the established indicators, it is observed that those aspects of the company with the greatest significance in terms o environmental impact due to its toxicity or its consumption during the development of the company’s activity in 2022 are:

  • Residues of remains of Paint and varnish.
  • Engine oil residue.
  • Residues of cantaminated absorbents.
  • Fuel consumption machinery.
  • Generation of waste from the repair of vehicles (significant indirect environmental impact).
  • Generation of waste at the end of the life cycle of products (significant indirect environmental impact).

The company evaluates the aspects in order to establish goals.

The company, committed to the use of clean energy, has photovoltaic panels. The acquisition of more photovoltaic panels has been proposed as a goal in order to reduce the use of contracted energy, which on many occasions is not obtained through renewble sources.

It has also been proposed to optimize fuel consumption in vehicles, trying to achieve more efficient driving.
